We call her the kitchen ninja.

You know, one of those people that enter the kitchen to make a simple stir fry noodle, and brings out a gourmet blend of flavors and textures that’s somehow always picture worthy.

Chef. vegan baker. master of cooking around allergies.

Kim can usually be found running her home from her kitchen counter. If she’s not whipping up something “heavenly” as her son describes, fulfilling a baking order, or fine-tuning a recipe, she’s helping a friend navigate life.

A single mother of two, she found her passion for recipe creation through relentlessly adapting popular food items for her kids. Their dairy, egg, and nut allergies are no jokes, but her kids weren’t going to sit by the sidelines watching others enjoy doughnuts and ice cream. Set out to create vegan treats better than their best non-vegan counterparts, she’s spent countless hours studying the scientific properties of baking ingredients. Try one of the vegan, gluten-free doughnuts when they’re available - or better yet, don’t, because three doughnuts later… I did warn you.

Kim was born and raised in Washington state, but always felt a deep connection to her Vietnamese heritage. Especially with a traditional grandmother who is a dominant force in the kitchen, food became a major source for discovering her roots. She finds great joy in creating traditional recipes from scratch, and feeding any friend who stops by until they’re bursting at the seams - all the while educating on the importance of the balance of flavors for creating and enjoying each dish. With her kids being half Vietnamese, she also wanted them to develop their own relationship with their Vietnamese ancestry through its cuisine.

Outside of her love of food, Kim enjoys running 20 miles on a whim and sparring with her kickboxing teammates.
